Bangladesh Eco-Adventure Tour

Day 01:

Receive from Airport, Meet with our guide and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free time. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 02:   Dhaka Sightseeing– Boat Station.

Pick up at 0700hrs from your hotel and drive to the old part of Dhaka city to visit. Sadarghat River port- Situated on the bank of the river Buriganga. Then Star Mosque- It is a beautifully decorated mosque built in the early 18th century and was renovated later with glittering star pattern mosaic with Japanese and English china clay tiles during 1926. Then Shakhari Bazar (Hindu Street)—it is a narrow street connecting Nawabpur road with Islampur road. Both sides of the narrow street are lined with shops mostly making and selling conch shell bangles. Then Lalbagh Fort (Sunday closed) – Price Mohammed Azam , 3rd son of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb  built  this Fort  Aurangabad  in 1678. At last Dhakeswari Temple: It is the oldest Hindu temple in Dhaka   and established in the 11th century.

At around 2:00pm  drive to the Boat station. Upon arrival in the station, Board on the public launch.  Normally the launches depart from Dhaka at around 04:00pm – 5:00pm. Overnight Journey towards Jalokhati (this is the closed destination you can go by boat from Dhaka).

Note:  

• Regarding the visit in Kuakata, the road condition is very bad, more over the public boat does not go up to Kuakata. This is why we are going up to Jhalikhati district by boat.

• The boat has basic accommodation facility with non air condition cabin, with toilet facility.  Normal Bangladeshi food will be available on boat.

Day 03, 04:   Jhalokhati – Kuakata

Upon arrival at Jhalokhati in the morning at around 07am -08 am, Breakfast at local market, then drive to Kuakata (120km/5:30 hours). Upon arrival, transferred to hotel. Visit local markets, tribal villages, Buddhist monastery & beach activity etc. enjoy the sunset from the beach. This today is relaxed days just to chilling on the beach. Overnight at Hotel .

Note:  Bangladesh is a Muslim dominated country; you cannot wear swimming costumes in the beach.

Day 05: Kuakata – Barisal 

After spending first few hours in the Kuakata (82km/4:00 hours), we will start our journey towards  Barisal.  On the way visit the some local villages; local markets and walk around the Barisal launch station. Upon arrival the Barisal city, Check in & Overnight at Barisal.

Day 06: Barisal – Bagerhat – Mongla 

Early morning we will drive from Barisal to Mongla (6 hours/ 135km). En route visit the mosque city Bagerhat. This city was established by a Persian merchant Khan Jahan Ail, made lot of mosque nearby the whole region. One of his remarkable architect which was declared UNESCO World Heritage site 60 Dome Mosque, we will explore. Also visit the shrine of Khan Jahan Ali, 9 dome mosques, and some other mosque. Then a short drive to Mongla. Overnight at Mongla.

Day 07, 08, 09:   Sundarban Mangrove Forest Cursing 

Early Morning transfer to the sundarbans chartered boat & immediately star cruising towards the forest.  Forming one of the largest margrave forests on earth, the world heritage site will be landscapes of the spectacular backdrop for next two days. Home of Bengal Tigers, estuarine crocodile and some 270 specs of birds, the incredible network of islands, creeks, mud flats, provide the setting for an unforgettable boat trip. We will cruse deep into the heart of incredible wildness, exploring the most eastern part of Sundarbans called Kotka wild life sanctuary area.  There will be different wild forest activates like country boat trip in the small creeks and cannels, watch tour climbing, mangrove trekking inside the forest, etc. here one Bar B Q dinner is included in the forest. On the way back at the last day, we will visit some villages nearby the forest.

Day 10:     Mongla – Jessore –Chittagong

After an early Lunch, Disembark from boat, and drive to Jessroe airport (87km/3:30hrs). Take the evening flight from Dhaka – Jessroe by RX 764. Then from Dhaka – Chittagong by RX 719, connecting flight to Chittagong by Regent airways (Currently the best Domestic Airline of Bangladesh).  Arrival Chittagong Airport in the evening, Drive to Hotel. Check in and overnight at hotel.

Day 11, 12, 13:   Chittagong – Bandarban 

After breakfast, driving out Chittagong, we head next into the fertile hills of south- eastern Bangladesh, one of the most remote regions in the country (87km/04:00hrs). Our destination is the town of Bandarban on the sangu River, lying in the heart of rich tribal landscapes of the hill tracts. One of the last bastions of Buddhism in South Asia, this captivating hill country is home to 15 different ethnic minorities, of which the Murong and the Marma are largest. These indigenous tribes differ in both physical appearance and in their religious and cultural beliefs from the country’s majority Bengali population; over the next three days we should have an opportunity to discover a little diversity of the nature and human diversity of this incredible Setting.

 Day14: Bandarban – Chittagong

After breakfast, drive back to Chittagong (87km/04:00hrs). a city that can trace its maritime heritage back over a thousand years. The Portuguese one describes its Porto Grande and indeed it has served the region well as a thriving port since the arrival of the Arab merchants back in 9th Century.  In the afternoon explore the little bit of the city. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15: Chittagong – Sylhet (By train) 

Early morning after breakfast, transferred to the railway station. Take the train from Chittagong to Sylhet by AC chair coach seat. This is an interesting train journey; here you have a chance to direct communication with the locals. Upon arrival at Srimangal, Transferred to hotel. Overnight at srimangal.

Day 16:   Sylhet Sight Seeing

In Sylhet after breakfast, we will drive to Sylhet. Explore the holy city including the shrines of Shah Jalal, Shal Paharn, Stone collection, cruising in the river, then boarder of India Bangladesh.  On the way back, visit & the explore the ruins of Jaintha Kindom dated from 18th Centaury AD. In the evening, a walk in the city center to experience the life of Sylhet city. Overnight at Sylhet City.

Day 17, 18:   Sylhet – Srimangal

After breakfast at hotel, drive on to srimangal this morning, we will spend the next two days exploring the lush green hill around Bangladesh’s verdant tea country. Blanket in the tea estate, rubber plantations and lemon groves, this region are amongst the most picturesque in the country. It is also home to rain forests, wetlands and a scattering of traditional Manipuri and Khasia tribal villages. On our second day, we have a chance to explore the area in a little more depth. Perhaps taking a chance to head out into the hills of surma valleys on bicycles to look for the betel farmers and birds. These rich landscapes provides a haven for number of local and migratory species as well as hillock gibbons, birds, etc whilst the cultural traditions of the local tribes still adhere to customers that have been passed down by generators.

Day 19:   Srimangal – Dhaka 

After breakfast at hotel, Drive to Dhaka (197km/05:00hrs). On the way some brick factory, rice factory, lastly the Old capital of Bengal     “ Sonargaon golden city ‘’. Visit the Panam city, folklore Museum, Goaldi Mosque. Then drive back to the city. Overnight in Dhaka .

• All sightseeing, Transfer by Air-condition car expect in Bandarban Hill track.

• All boat cursing sundarbans, Bandarbans by Non air-condition car.

• Accommodation will be twin sharing basis from (Day 01 to Day 19) & hotel considered tourist standard hotel (Air-condition room for the places)• Flight from (Jessore – Dhaka) and (Dhaka – Chittagong) is included. • Sundarban tour with all forest permission, armed forest guard.
